The University of the Mountains in Metaxochori, Municipality of Archanes Asterousia, Heraklion

The University of the Mountains , a member of the Mountain Partnership – Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations , continues its volunteer work steadily, in Crete and throughout Greece.

On Friday, January 24, 2025, the entire team of volunteers will visit the village of Metaxochori in the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, Heraklion.

The planned activities will take place on this excursion, as follows:

-Peer-to-peer teaching of students, with students and teachers, at Metaxochori Primary School with the participation of students from Archanes Primary School,

-medical examinations by professors of Medicine of the University of Crete with their teams, in vulnerable groups of the local population,

-in Metaxochori, in the afternoon of the same day, the Mountain Cafe will take place
