Excursion of the University of Mountains to Feres, Evros

The University of the Mountains, in collaboration with the Democritus University of Thrace – Medical School, the Ethnological Museum of Thrace, the Municipality of Alexandroupolis and the Primary Education Department of Alexandroupolis, are carrying out for the first time the voluntary non-profit and non-subsidized actions of the PtO in Evros, connecting the south with the north of Greece.

On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, the first excursion will be implemented in Feres, Municipality of Alexandroupoli, with the following actions:

– Medical examinations by medical professors with their teams, in vulnerable groups of the local population,

– Peer-to-peer teaching of students at the 1st Primary School of Fera on the sacred art of Weaving – Mission Penelope Gandhi and

– Cafe of the Mountains, with topics related to solidarity, self-sufficiency, the development of an endogenous, autonomous household economy,

small scale but of great value, at a time when we need to see again with another glance the strength and moral and spiritual superiority of this Place.
