Excursion of the University of Mountains to the Municipality of Amari, Rethymno

On Friday, September 25, 2015, all volunteers and members of the University of the Mountains, Professors of Medicine, nurses, scientists of various disciplines, from the University of Crete, will visit the village of Agia Fotini in the Municipality of Amari, Rethymno and offer their services to the residents of the wider area.

The Mountain Cafes will be open.

At the Men’s Cafe, in Fourfouras, tree grafting and pruning, biological control of the dako, organic olive cultivation and processing and new livestock farming methods will be discussed.
The Penelope Gandhi Mission team will meet with local women at the Panakron Estate and discuss the Sacred Art of Weaving in Crete today and the processing of flax produced by the Mission volunteers.
