Excursion of the University of Mountains to the municipality of Gortyna, Heraklion

The difficulties and anxieties of our time require our presence and participation, with creativity, determination and even better organization, in every corner of Crete.

On Friday, October 3, 2014, all doctors, nurses and volunteers of the University of the Mountains will travel to Gergeri in the Municipality of Gortyna, where they will offer their services to the residents of the wider area.

The Mountain Cafes will operate, with the men, where wine production, grafting and pruning of trees, the antioxidant properties of red wine will be discussed, and with the women, the Penelope Gandhi Mission, weaving techniques, home economics and the perfection of the unique authentic handicrafts of Cretan Weaving art, of great value and international recognition.
