Excursion of the University of Mountains to Makry Gialos, Ierapetra

On Friday, March 10, 2017, volunteers from the University of the Mountains visit Makry Gialos in Ierapetra.

They will carry out:

– Medical examinations in vulnerable groups of the local population,

– Peer-to-peer teaching of students at Makry Gialos Primary School with the participation of students from Koutsouras Primary School, on the topic of the sacred art of Weaving and the Mountain Cafes will be opened,

with issues related to the migration of our young people outside Greece,

agricultural products, natural fibers, solidarity and self-sufficiency with the development of an autonomous household economy, small-scale – high value.
