Excursion of the University of Mountains to Rodovani, Kantanos – Selinos

The University of the Mountains continues its mission alongside students and people of experiential knowledge, through the revival of natural economic resources, the continuous support of residents by groups of professors-doctors, the prevention of the abandonment of villages, the non-exhaustion of natural wealth and the development of a small-scale-high-value economy.

On Friday, November 25, 2016, he will visit with all his teams the village of Rodovani in the Municipality of Kantanos-Selinos and will offer his services to the residents of the wider area.

Medical professors, along with doctors, students and nurses, will examine the residents of the area.

The peer teaching of students will take place at Rodovani Primary School with the participation of the 17th Primary School of Chania, on the theme of the sacred art of Weaving.

At the Mountain Cafes, women and men, along with scientists from various fields of knowledge from the University of Crete, will discuss issues related to the organic production of olive oil, the cultivation and collection of herbs, chestnuts, flax seeding, the protection of wild trees, livestock farming and the small-scale economy of products of excellent quality and high cultural value.
