Penelope Gandhi Mission: Cotton Sowing in Crete

The University of the Mountains, with Prof. Mr. I. Pallikaris, professors from the University of Crete, the Hellenic Mediterranean University – School of Agriculture, together with the Penelope Gandhi Mission Yarn creation team, teachers, students and pupils, sowed Cotton for an entire week in all 4 prefectures of Crete:
The first sowing took place at EPAS. Crete – Agricultural School of Ampelouzos Gortys, in Heraklion, on Monday, April 11,
the second took place at Chandra High School of Sitia together with the primary school of Armenoi, on Tuesday, April 12,
the next took place at Agia Fotini High School of Amari, Rethymno, on Thursday, April 14,
the last sowing took place at the Primary School of Paleochora, Chania and at the 1st and 2nd Kindergartens of Paleochora, on Friday, April 15.

The precious cotton seeds were offered by Mr. N. Angelousis, Cotton Farm of Boeotia, Mr. Ch. Diamantis, agronomist, Livadia, Boeotia, and psychiatrist Mr. N. Nikolakakis, to whom we are grateful.
