PtO excursion to Koustogerako, Chania on Friday, April 7, 2023

The University of the Mountains, for the last 20 years, has been studying the life of mountain communities and the experiential knowledge of the people of the Mountains.
It proposes solutions for changing the welfare model, de-dependence from the loan economy, self-sufficiency and sustainable development, through the promotion of the cultural identity and timeless values ​​of mountain societies.
It will carry out its next expedition to the Municipality of Kantanos – Selinos, Chania, on Friday, April 7, 2023, where the following actions will take place:
– Peer tutoring of students at the EPAL Kantanos.
-Medical examinations by medical professors with their teams, in the village of Koustogerako, to vulnerable groups of the local population,
-Café of the Mountains in the village of Koustogerako, with topics related to self-sufficiency, handicrafts, the Sacred Art of Weaving and the development of an endogenous, autonomous household economy.
