Sound recording of Argastir – Aemonas Mylopotamos

On Friday, July 15, 2016, Mr. Panos Amelidis, lecturer at Bournemouth University, Music & Audio Technology, Department of Creative Technology in Great Britain, following his request at the University of the Mountains, visited Aemonas Mylopotamos and recorded, for the first time, the sounds of the Cretan Argastirion as well as testimonies of the weavers of the village and the Penelope Gandhi Mission, about the sacred art of weaving, in order to utilize this data in the research he is conducting at Bournemouth University, regarding the identification of the soundscape with the cultural product.
