Mrs. Varvara Terzakis – Pallikari, was awarded in January 2018 in Pune – Maharashtra, India, with the Kasturbai Gandhi (wife of Mahatma Gandhi) – Womens Excellence Award , for the work carried out by the Penelope Gandhi Mission – the sacred art of Weaving in Crete.
The award was presented by Dr. Sudha Kankaria , president of the global organization for the rescue and education of girls in India, ” Save Girl Child”.
